Mauricio de Souza Tavares

Having graduated in Marketing from ESPM and in Law from Universidade Estácio de Sá, in Rio de Janeiro, he has been an Industrial Property Agent since 1996. He is a member of the Brazilian Bar Association, the Brazilian Association of Intellectual Property (ABPI); International Trademark Association (INTA), Association Internationale pour la Protection de la Propriété Intellectuelle (AIPPI), Intellectual Property Owners Association (IPO), and Association of Intellectual Property Firms (AIPF). With a post-graduation degree in Digital Law, he was a professor of Intellectual Property at Ibmec-RJ and Estação Business School in Curitiba. He gave lectures at several organizations such as the Brazilian Association of Advertisers (ABA), SEBRAE, and others. Regarded as one of the foremost lawyers in the area by World Trademark Review, Who’s Who Legal, and Client Choice – Lexology. He works in the areas of trademarks, patents, software and copyright, franchising; technology transfer and technical service contracts, and domain names.

ANTENOR BARBOSA

Antenor Barbosa

Degree in Law from the State University of Rio de Janeiro – UERJ, he has specialization in Intellectual Property at Franklin Pierce Law Center, New Hampshire, USA, and a postgraduate degree in Intellectual Property and Cyberlaw from Fundação Getúlio Vargas – FGV. He has wide experience in dispute resolution related to Intellectual Property, having worked for some of the largest offices in the country. He is a court-appointed expert, with training by the Brazilian Association of Industrial Property – ABAPI. He is a member of the Brazilian Bar Association, the Brazilian Association of Industrial Property (ABAPI), and the Inter-American Association of Intellectual Property (ASIPI).

Responsible for the Legal Department at MP4, both administrative and litigation.

ALBA PARADA

Alba Parada

Degree in Physics from IFGW-UNICAMP, from where she also obtained a master’s and a doctor’s degree in Physics. Specialization in Industrial Quality from UNICAMP. She has extensive experience in Patents, in the patenting process, writing, and feasibility analysis, having worked for other Intellectual Property offices.

Besides being responsible for the Patents department at MT4, she also works in Innovation.

EMÍLIA GIRARDI

Emilia Girardi

Student of Architecture and Urbanism at Universidade Anhanguera and holds a licentiate degree in Physics from Universidade Federal Fluminense.

She is one of the people responsible for controlling the operations of MT4, through the monitoring, registration and updating of processes, weekly communication of published orders, filing of trademark applications, appointment of proxies, and delivery of registration certificates.

LUCIENE NOGUEIRA

Luciene Nogueira

Degree in Law from Candido Mendes and post-graduation in Advertising and Marketing from Estácio de Sá. She has extensive experience in Renewals, having worked for another Intellectual Property office in this area.

Responsible for MT4’s Renewals Department, with the control of annuities, extensions, assignments, change of name and address and contracts, control of deadlines and client communication.

She is a member of the Brazilian Bar Association.

Raphaela Soares

Bachelor of Law and specialized in Company Law from Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (PUC-RJ). She has extensive experience in intellectual property, with significant performance in the administrative area and trademark litigation, as well as contracts, copyrights, unfair competition, software and franchising. She worked for other offices specialized in Intellectual Property.
